About Us

Maria Hoban is founder, President and Chief Pilot of Catalyst Aviation. She has spent 20 years in the commercial aviation industry. After flying her first solo helicopter flight at 16 and receiving her private pilot certificate at age 17, Maria became an instructor at age 18. One year later, she became Chief Flight Instructor of an international 141 flight-training academy. After Maria co-owned and operated a flight school in South Jersey for seven years, she served as Chief Pilot for two leading aviation departments in the Philadelphia and New York areas.

Hoss Golanbari is serving Catalyst Aviation as the Director of Marketing. He is responsible for the structuring and implementation of promotional programs for the company. He is concurrently the Managing Director of marketing and sales at Heli Lynx Helicopters and is responsible for the production department as General Manager, working closely with engineering, quality and the FAA/Transport Canada. He oversees all production and refurbishment of the 350 and 355 FX aircraft. Golanbari served as the Director of Maintenance at Abitibi Helicopters of Calgary from 2004-2008 and was responsible for the fleet of sixteen AS350s and a Bell 205. Hoss formally served as the Quality Delivery Supervisor at Bombardier Aircraft, delivering over ninety RJ 700 and 900 regional aircraft. He delivered three Global Express aircraft to Fortune 500 companies in the US.

Hoss Golanbari has endorsements on the following aircraft: Bell 206, AS350 and 355 Twinstar, Bell222/230 and Sikorsky S76. He holds valid Transport Canada M1 and M2 rotary and fixed wing licenses.
